Answers, not dashboards
Stop digging through reports. Ask Claude a question in plain English and get the answer — broken down, compared, and explained.
ross-source intelligence
Combine ExpenseMonkey with Stripe, project tools, and anything else Claude can reach. One question, one answer, every source.
No new tool to learn
Your team is already using Claude. ExpenseMonkey just shows up as a connector — no new logins, no new dashboards.
Project profitability normally lives in a spreadsheet someone updates monthly — or never. With Claude, it's just a question. Your revenue and ExpenseMonkey costs are joined automatically
Ask about any client, team, any quarter, any cost type — and drill into specifics with follow-ups, without exporting a single CSV.

Stop pivoting in Excel. Ask Claude how spend trended by category, by team, by month — and follow up with "why?" until you have the answer.
Every line item is categorized against your own categories
Breakdowns work across any time period
Cross-reference with revenue, users, or any metric Claude can reach
Which expense categories are growing fastest? Where's the budget drift? What cost should I be worried about? These are Friday-afternoon spreadsheet questions — until Claude has access to your data.
rend detection, anomaly flagging, plain-English explanations. Follow-up questions stay in context — so the analysis goes as deep as you need it to.

ExpenseMonkey exposes your workspace as an MCP server — Model Context Protocol, the open standard Claude uses to securely connect to external tools. Once connected, Claude can query your expenses, categories, and reports in real time when you ask.
Each person connects with their own ExpenseMonkey account, and Claude only sees what their role allows. A team member asking "what's our company-wide travel spend?" gets the same answer they'd get logging into ExpenseMonkey: their own submissions, nothing else.
Admins get the full workspace. Your existing roles do the work — no extra permission system to manage. If you want to disable Claude access for the whole workspace, that's a single toggle in settings.
Yes — ExpenseMonkey speaks MCP, which ChatGPT and Cursor also support on paid plans. We're building a dedicated setup page for ChatGPT; for now, the same MCP URL works in any MCP-compatible client.
By default: read approved expenses, view categories, pull reports, and answer questions. Claude can join this data with anything else you've connected (Stripe, project tools, Slack, etc.).It can not overwrite your ExpenseMonkey records.
Claude reads your data on-demand and doesn't store it — each conversation discards the data when it ends. Anthropic doesn't train models on your inputs by default on their plans. Every query Claude makes is logged in your ExpenseMonkey activity log, same as any other workspace access, so you can audit what was read and when. You can revoke Claude's access in one click from either ExpenseMonkey or your Claude settings.
ExpenseMonkey side: the integration is included in our Pro plan our other integrations.
Anthropic side: custom connectors require paid plans — they're not on the free tier.
Connect ExpenseMonkey to Claude and turn your expense data — and the rest of your business stack — into instant answers.
